Potassium Pentaborate, CAS 12229-13-9, (also known as potassium pentaborate octahydrate) has the formula K2B10O168H2O. Potassium Pentaborate is used in conjunction with fluoride products as an additive in industrial lubricants and silver brazing fluxes. It is also used in the refining of copper and its alloys as wells as precious metals refining.
